Install the substrate over the other relevant specified components to the settled depth as specified. The substrate layer is levelled off using shovels and rakes, and should be firmed down before the vegetation is installed. Towards the edges begin to camber the substrate depth down to prevent a "square edge", this reduces the likelihood of the substrate from blending into the riverstone border. Please allow extra substrate for settlement. The substrate should only be installed in a dry or damp state, never when saturated, as this can lead to compaction issues.

The GRO Green Roof Code

The Canopia E Extensive Multi-Layer Substrate is to be used in conjunction with the other relevant and specified components of the Canopia extensive green roof system. It can be used on flat (with minm 1:60 fall) and sloping roofs up to 5 degrees. If slopes greater than 5 degrees are required, then advice relating to retaining the system should be sought from BMI’s Technical Department
