Roof systems

In order to best guarantee the safety and integrity of the building, the roof must have:

• resistance to distributed and concentrated loads, snow and wind,

• resistance to accidental impacts, hail

• water resistance wind stability,ability to withstand the actions of pressure and depression

• of the wind without suffering damage due to displacements or breakages,

• chemical-reactive and electrochemical stability,

• ability to resist the aggression of atmospheric agents and avoid corrosion phenomena,

• resistance to freeze and thaw cycles,

• resistance to thermal shock due to temperature changes, sound insulation,

• ability to reduce the transmission of airborne and hail noise thermal insulation,

• ability to contribute to the achievement and maintenance of hygrothermal well-being and energy saving condensation control,

The roof of a building is a complex structure of which the tiles represent the visible element.

A complete roof is made up of different layers (such as the insulating layer and the waterproofing layer), of elements useful for ensuring the lighting of the rooms (e.g. windows for attic) or the ventilation of the under-tile and systems for the production of electricity or for the safety of operators working at height (fall arrest systems).

Le tegole si differenziano principalmente per forma e colore. Tuttavia, per dare risposta alle richieste del mercato e offrire ai propri clienti prodotti di qualità sempre più elevata, BMI ha creato alcuni modelli unici. Per i tetti in cui si desideri ricreare l’effetto dei coppi vecchi o sia necessario integrare la nuova copertura in un centro storico, Wierer ha progettato la tegola Coppo del Borgo: profilo simile in tutto e per tutto ai coppi vecchi, effetto ombra sul fronte e posa sfalsata lo rendono ideale per regalare un sapore tradizionale a un tetto tecnologicamente avanzato. Per le coperture a bassa pendenza ha creato Coppo Titan l'unica tegola che può essere posata su coperture con il 10% di pendenza. E' un valore estremamente basso se teniamo conto che la pendenza media di un tetto è pari al 30%. Le tegole in commercio non possono essere posate su tetti a bassa pendenza perché non offrono garanzie in termini di tenuta all'acqua. Molto è stato fatto anche sulle superfici delle tegole migliorandone l'estetica e la durabilità nel tempo, due fattori determinanti nella scelta del prodotto. La superficie Protector rappresenta l'evoluzione delle superfici tradizionali essendo caratterizzata da colori più tecnologiche e da una maggiore resistenza agli effetti del tempo e degli agenti atmosferici.
